[picappgallerysingle id="8611207"]
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the St. Louis Rams have agreed to terms with QB Sam Bradford. 6 years, 78 million with a maximum potential of 86 million. Bradford gets 50 million in guaranteed according to Schefter.
Filed to ESPN: Rams reached agreement w/ Sam Bradford on a six-year, $78 million deal with $86 mil max value that includes $50 million gtd.
Rams fans must be happy, but that is crazy guaranteed money. This nonsense needs to come to an end. These players need to prove themselves on the field before they get this kind of crazy money.
No deal between Bradford-Rams

There still remains no deal between the St. Louis Rams and first overall selection, QB Sam Bradford. According to stltoday.com, there were no discussion between the two sides on Wednesday night. Rookies are slated to arrive at Rams camp today, and the full training camp is scheduled to start on Saturday.
The lack of a deal between Bradford and the Rams appears to have created quite a log jam of first round draft choices which have yet to sign with their teams. As of this morning, only three selections have signed. Bradford is the first #1 overall draft pick not to have a contract signed prior to the draft in three years.
St. Louis Rams in “serious pursuit” of Terrell Owens
[picappgallerysingle id="8062921"]
The St. Louis Rams are reportedly in hot pursuit of unemployed WR Terrell Owens. Both Chris Mortensen and Mike Florio have confirmed this rumor.
Owens made waves yesterday after working out with the Cincinnati Bengals, and the rumors were fueled with the additional rumors that free agent WR Antionio Bryant still was nursing a bad knee. The Bengals quickly dismissed any interest in adding Owens to the team.
However on Friday as I wrote in this space, the Rams were interested in holding a workout for University of Missouri WR Danario Alexander. Alexander has a huge upside potential coming off a monster season but he also has three knee surgeries in his football history.
With the Rams wide receiving corps so weak, Owens would basically fill the role he filled last year in Buffalo. Owens would be a logical fit for the Rams with the receivers in such a state of flux, but I would tend to believe if Cincinnati shows the slightest amount of interest, that is where Owens winds up. Owens played with a trio of untalented QB’s last year in Buffalo, and I doubt he’d want to go through the growing pains of Sam Bradford in St. Louis. If it comes down to a choice between not playing football and playing for the Rams, he’ll select the Rams.
I guess it all rests with the true state of Antonio Bryants’ knee injury and whether or not he can be 100% this season.
Rams looking at another WR?
[picappgallerysingle id="2124778"]
Are the St. Louis Rams looking at acquiring another wide receiver? Danario Alexander from the University of Missouri has been cleared medically to practice. Alexander’s agent, Jeff Nalley said in an e-mail that a pro-day work out for the receiver was in the works. Alexander Tweeted on Thursday that he had just run a 4.41 40 yard dash in Houston.
Rams GM Bill Devaney told media outlets that if Alexander has indeed been cleared medically, that the Rams would be bringing Alexander in for a visit. Devaney said, “We know he can run. We know he can catch”.
Yes he can, last year Alexander, 6′ 4″ 220 pounds, logged 113 catches for 1781 yards and scored 14 times. With so many questions surrounding the Rams receiving corps, if Alexander is healthy (a big if after three knee surgeries) and could stay healthy, he would be something dynamic on the field for the Rams.

The player ratings for the St. Louis Rams for Madden 2011 have been released.
There was not an overflow of high rankings for many of the Rams players. As expected, RB Stephen Jackson was the highest rated player, receiving a 95. QB Sam Bradford received an 80.
Only three players on defense received a score of 80 or more. CB Ronald Bartell, 81. DT Fred Robbins 80 and SS James Butler 80. One player that was not included strangely enough was S OJ Atogwe.
